1. What we collect

When you subscribe.

Your email address, and anything else you choose to fill in on the sign-up form: first name, last name, institution, and the indexes you care about. We also record which list you joined and when, and when we last emailed you.

When you sign in with Google.

Google shares your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture with us. We store these to keep your account, along with when you created it and when you last signed in.

When you use Ask Micah.

The questions you ask, which preset you picked, and when. These are stored with your account.

When you browse.

Basic usage data through Google Analytics: pages viewed, links clicked, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

2. Ask Micah questions

Ask Micah is available after you sign in. Each question is stored with your account so we can apply the per-account question limit, and so we can review questions to improve answers and see which topics people ask about. Answers are generated by AI models, so the text of your question may be processed by an AI service provider. Do not include personal or sensitive information in questions.

3. Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie while you sign in with Google. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure usage.

4. How we use information

To operate and improve the Service, send the emails you signed up for, run your account and its Ask Micah limit, and understand how the site is used. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, such as Google (sign-in and analytics), our email delivery provider, our hosting provider, and AI service providers used to answer Ask Micah questions, and when required by law.

6. Retention and choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in each email. Unsubscribing stops the emails but keeps a record that you unsubscribed. To have your subscription, account or questions deleted, contact contactus@micahmarkets.com.
